Day Six -
23.07.2010
A short day
- couple of junctions down the M6 then across the North
Pennines
on the A66. Then pick up the A1 down
south. The A66 was clear and a joy to
travel.
I needed
fuel so peeled off on the A59 and went to York. The traffic in York
was mad - felt like parts of London. Lots of daft students on
push bikes. Rode past the National
Railway Museum
. Hey it's free entry - excellent.... then they want £9 to
park for half a day. Screw that - got back on the A59
out of York, stopped for lunch at a garden
centre.
Some light traffic on the A1
south. Weather was good and I arrived at about
3:45pm. The Travelodge at North
Muskham is a strange place - but it was nice to have another
soak.
Total
mileage for the day - 195
miles.
